Toure-Henry is back

Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure feels that Thierry Henry is beginning to rediscover his best form.

The former Arsenal striker has struggled to make an impact during a frustrating first season at the Camp Nou, and has found himself utilised as a left winger under Frank Rijkaard.

However, having finally found his feet in Spain he is starting to show glimpses of the ability which made him one of the most feared forwards in Europe during his time with the Gunners.

The Frenchman was one of Barca's better performers in their slender 1-0 win over Schalke in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday, and his team-mates are confident that he can now play a major role in the remainder of the season.

"Thierry Henry has shown that he is back," Toure told L'Equipe.

"He is not far from his best form."

Dominated

Ivory Coast international Toure also felt that Barcelona deserved their victory in Germany despite finding themselves under mounting pressure towards the end of the game.

"We deserved to win," he said.

"No-one can deny that we dominated the first half. However, the second half was more difficult, especially on a physical level.

"But the prospect of facing Manchester United in the semi-finals is very exciting to me."
